Fairmount Minerals Supports Illinois Hospital

The Ottawa Regional Hospital Auxiliary accepted a Fairmount Minerals donation toward the purchase of new supplies for The Family Room.

"Serving the needs of our communities is an important part of our philosophy. We are happy to make this contribution and to help the Family Room continue to provide critical services to children,"Jenniffer Deckard, Fairmount Minerals CFO, said in a press release.

"We applaud Fairmount Minerals for contributing these funds and helping to ensure that families in our area have access to the health care supplies they need," said Bobbi Kandell, president of the Ottawa Regional Hospital Auxiliary.

The Family Room is a program for parents of children from birth to age 3 that provides infant supplies and furniture, cleaning supplies and other much-needed equipment, in exchange for points earned through positive parenting behavior. The need for the services and supplies provided by The Family Room has grown substantially during the past year and the Auxiliary anticipates seeing more families in need of assistance. According to Kandell, The Family Room recently took on nearly 50 new families.
